Hayes Glanden, DPT - Clinic Director

Hayes is a native of Dover, DE whose interest in Physical Therapy began during High School when he was exposed to the profession as a result of several different injuries that occurred while playing soccer. His interest in PT grew when he had the opportunity to train during the winters in High School with Andrew “Rudy” Rudawsky, MS, PT, ATC and James “Hash” Hashimoto, MPT, ATC as part of the Delaware Soccer Olympic Development Program.

Hayes attended the University of Delaware in order to pursue his two interests. While playing soccer for the University of Delaware, Hayes graduated in 2007 with an Honors degree in Exercise Physiology. He chose to stay at the University of Delaware to pursue a career in Physical Therapy and graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009.

As a professional, Hayes has worked at the University of Delaware’s Sports and Orthopedic Clinic as well at Pro PT in Northern Delaware, both of which have allowed him to continue to learn and gain valuable experience as a clinician. His clinical interests include sports injuries as well as post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation. Hayes is eager to share his clinical experiences in addition to learning from the wonderful clinicians at Elite PT.
